When you are expecting a baby, there are a lot of things to think about and get ready for. Many new parents choose to indulge in the luxury of professional newborn photography in order to capture this special moment. Understandably, this may be a task for parents to add to the overwhelming list of things to do, but you won’t regret capturing moments that fly by, to the top of your list.
The question is, where should your newborn shoot be held? Everyone is different. Many people are stuck between whether they want their newborn shoot in their home or a studio as there are pros and cons to both. Why not have both in one?
I am going to tell you why you should have a newborn shoot at a home studio!
Why you do not need to worry about taking your newborn to my home studio
- In a studio but still with home comforts
- Comfort and Safety
- I provide a beautiful aesthetic
- No stress!
- Access to my client wardrobe
- The session will be quicker

In a studio but still with home comforts
My home studio is perfect for your newborn shoot because it is homely, beautiful and warm. I am a mother myself so I understand what you want to feel in comfort with your little one. My studio is not like a typical white studio, it is in my home and has all of the home comforts your home would, such as cushions, blankets, beautiful decor and warmth.
There are no overly posed photos, they will be real and authentic just as if you were at home. Have fun, have a laugh and cuddle your family for some gorgeous photos to hang on your walls.

Comfort and Safety
The most precious thing I will hold is your baby, and I will treat them with the same loving delicacy and attention as you do, for their safety and comfort.
My studio is heated, and it frequently gets too warm for clothed adults, but not for sleeping, content newborns. I will be monitoring the temperature all the time and making adjustments if I think the baby is too warm or too cold.
My props are all chosen carefully for baby’s comfort and lined with beautiful soft blankets, and cushions for baby to snuggle into and I pose babies on a soft, fluffy pouffe.

I provide a beautiful aesthetic
If you are like me then you will love the aesthetic of my studio. My style is simplistic, rustic and authentic.
There is no need for you to worry about your home looking tidy and having beautiful props and decor in the background because, in my home studio, I have that already set up for you.

No stress!
You will not stress about the state and cleanliness of your home. All you need to remember is the essentials like nappies, bottles, dummies, wipes and whatever else you deem essential for your newborn.

Access to my client wardrobe
No doubt you will be thinking about the perfect outfit for your little one, as well as the essentials you need to bring. This will most likely mean you have not put much thought into your own outfit. This is absolutely fine because I provide an evergrowing client wardrobe, fit for all sizes.
I have the most beautiful dresses that match the aesthetic of my studio perfectly.
I also provide styling advice. So if you need any help please reach out. I suggest bringing an extra outfit for anyone under 3.

The session will be quicker
As a professional photographer, I have an eye for detail when it comes to the set-up of my home studio. If I were to come to your home I may want to move a few props around to make for the best photos. If you are in my home studio for your newborn shoot, this is already set up and ready making for a quicker session, as well as having time to take more photos.
